Welcome

We are delighted to welcome visitors to share this eclectic, vibrant house and gardens. Shankill has been our beloved family home since 1991. Our children grew up here and our grandchildren are starting to explore it too.

Keeping history alive is vitally important to us. Geoffrey, a historian, collects antiques and artefacts, which fill the house and grounds. Sitting side-by-side these are Elizabeth’s paintings, which, bursting with energy, bring a unique contemporaneity to the otherwise historic surrounds.

In the gardens and farm, we believe in working towards greater sustainability and biodiversity. In return, we get delicious organic produce, which we use in the café.

We hope to welcome you to Shankill very soon.
